EBG's Annual Gala Christmas Dinner 2014

EBG's Annual Gala Christmas Celebrations was held at the Oberoi Ball Room, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, New Delhi on Saturday, 13 December 2014 The evening was superb with an excellent Choir performance by Neemrana Music Foundation, Live band and an interesting game of the traditional raffle to close the evening. The Oberoi had set up a very sumptuous dinner. The attendance was well attended and all the guest's feedback indicate a very well enjoyed evening. The event was sponsored by G4S, Finnair and Ericsson.

EBG's National Event and Release of the EBG Position Paper 2014

The 2014 edition of the EBG Position Paper was released jointly by H.E Mr. João Cravinho, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to India and Shri Amitabh Kant, IAS, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 26 September 2014. The event was well attended with over 120 participants and had representation from CEO's , CFOs and Managing Directors of major European companies, consultants and EU memberstate Embassies. Ambassadors and senior officials from the EU Member states attended the event. The event was sponsored by G4S, BMW, Rolls Royce, Societe Generale, SAAB, Falck, Michelin, RBS, Steria, Vodafone, Alar, Fuchs, Magotteaux, Moet Hennessy, TUV Rheinland, Vygon, Hochtief & Binani.

DISCUSSIONS – Post Election Scenario

European Business Group, British Business Group and American Chamber Of Commerce conducted a panel discussion on the Post – Election Scenario in India. The topic for the evening was "100 Days – The Story So Far". The eminent panelists for the evening were Mr. Gardiner Harris, South Asia Correspondent, New York Times, Mr. Anil Padmanabhan, renowned Journalist, Deputy Managing Editor, The Mint and Mr. Ashok Malik, Senior Indian Journalist and Columnist. The session was moderated by Mr John Elliott, renowned British Journalist and Author.

BUDGET ANALYSIS – India Union Budget 2014 by KPMG

KPMG, British Business Group, Belgian-Luxembourg Business Association, European Business Group and German Centre for Industry and Trade Delhi Private Limited jointly organised a detailed analysis and discussion of the proposals presented in the Union Budget 2014 by the Honourable Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley on 11 July 2014. Eminent tax experts from KPMG made detailed presentations on the economic aspects of the Budget, the Direct and Indirect Tax implications. The speakers, apart from analysing the major tax proposals, also answered the various questions that members asked.

EBG India - EICC Brussels joint event in association with EBTC

The joint EBG-BBG-AmCham event in association with Control Risks - Panel discussion on "India Elections- Risks and Rewards for Business

EBG jointly with BBG and AmCham organized a panel discussion on a most topical subject of the day- Forthcoming Indian General Elections 2014 on Wednesday, 19 February 2014 at the Metropolitan Hotel, New Delhi. The event started at 5:00pm and was followed by a Cocktail reception.

The event was sponsored by Control Risks. The panel discussion was on the subject "India Elections - Risks and Rewards for Business". The eminent panelists for the evening were – Mr.Anil Padmanabhan, Joint Managing Editor, MINT ; Mr. Swapan Das Gupta, Journalist (former Managing Editor of India Today) & Political Commentator and Dr. A Didar Singh, Secretary General, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). Mr. Jan Zalewski, expert on political and security risks in India at Control Risks moderated the session.

It was a very well attended session with over 60 members of EBG itself participating and would have continued beyond the time that we had allocated. All the feedback we got were extremely positive.
